Thanks to those of you who prayed for my friends. They are still struggling with an incredibly difficult situation, but are coming to terms with things for now. As with all situations, we should never cease to pray...something I need to continually remind myself of. Here's a poll: What do you do when you are stressed or dealing with a difficult situation?

So today I turned 30. Weird, but not really earth shattering. Yet, anyway! I am definitely going to give myself a break on the calories, as Jamie is insisting that I choose somewhere to go out for dinner (and my class at the gym today was SUPER intense - burned about 700 calories!). However, I can't seem to think of a good place to go! At least I've got the half hour drive home to brainstorm... |

What a nice weekend. Well, the weather could have been nicer, but it warmed up today. Jamie and I went for a bike ride and up a long, gradual hill that I didn't think I could do, but did it! I think it will be my goal for the end of the summer to bike up that hill after going through some of the trails in Carver and then go up way faster than I did today.
I've totally hit a weight loss plateau, but most of it is my own fault. I have not exactly been following my calorie limits like I should. But I keep trying to remind myself that at least I haven't been putting any of the weight back on. And for the most part I've been sticking to a minimum of four days a week that I'm working out. We had to take Tucker to the vet Friday for some shots, and he needs to shed a couple pounds too.

I worked from home today, since I woke up with a major headache. By mid-afternoon it was feeling much better. The weekend was busy. Friday night I went with Jamie to graduation and then to a teacher party afterwards - we stayed out until about 12:30. Then Saturday was Sarah's shower, so it was a lot of scrambling and running around to make sure everything was ready. It went off really well, though! I think there were 17 people there, so it was a good turnout, and she got some really great gifts. Now it's just the hard part...waiting! The birth mom successfully walked through her own graduation ceremony last Friday, and after this week if she still hasn't had the baby they will induce her. So the wait shouldn't be too much longer. I am so thrilled for her and Chad - they will make wonderful parents! Ugh...is it really only Monday?! |
