Happy Birthday, Deby!!!

Feeling very overwhelmed today...stressed, tired. And I have very swollen feet and ankles. Not really even ankles - officially cankles now.

Currently Gaming Dance Dance Revolution Extreme By Konami see related It's been a while since I've updated.... The weather has been SO beautiful! The official high today was 81, I believe. What a beautiful taste of what's to come, but I'm sure we'll probably snap back to reality and cooler temps soon. Oh well - at least it's officially spring, and can't be cold much longer! My mom had some more tests done today, and goes back to meet with not only the cardiologist again, but also with her local kidney doctor on Thursday. It'll be a busy day for her! In the meantime, she's still feeling pretty worn out, but hopefully is going to be getting some answers soon. So I'm realizing how quickly the time is flying by - there's now officially less than 6 weeks until my due date. I'm not exactly nervous, per se, but more anxious to meet Little P! Well, I guess the only thing I'm nervous about is the whole timing thing, and when I'm going to go into labor. I just wish I could control that a little more. I'm super excited about my first shower this Saturday!! Then I'll feel even more prepared (hopefully...) once we have more than just the crib. For those of you that are parents, I'd be curious to know what you wish you would have done 'one more time' before the baby was born...like go to a movie, out to your favorite restaurant, etc. Just trying to figure out what to try to relish while we can.

Currently Reading The Next Big Thing By Johanna Edwards see related Jamie and I just got home - we have Bible study on Tuesday nights, and tonight a few of us went out for coffee afterwards. It was fun, but I wish that Dunn Bros. stayed open longer than 9:00. Although to be fair, they were super nice and let us stay until they literally were locking the doors. And then we stayed talking in the parking lot after the employees were gone! The study is a 2-year course (really 4-12 week "semesters", not quite as intimidating as 2 years!) on the book of Revelation. I am really enjoying it...I've always been fascinated by the end times. So it's been about six months since we "left" the Army. Now, we didn't really leave because of anything other than distance - it is a 100 mile round trip to-from the corps and our house. It's weird, though. I was telling Jamie that I *love* going to Grace, and love that there are so many opportunities with a large (extremely large) church that aren't there with the Army. However, I miss a lot of things too; like knowing everyone, playing the piano/leading worship and seeing my parents among other things. (But my parents are coming to our Bible study, so I get to see them there!) But isn't it awesome to know that God works in all sorts of churches? I am trying to stay focused on Friday - this week is sort of crazy at work, but once I hit Friday, then I'm off with Jamie for Spring break next week. We're not going anywhere - other than Duluth for the weekend - but it will be nice to have time off together. I haven't really had more than a day or two off since we moved into the house, and that wasn't exactly relaxing. It was exciting though. It's hard to believe we've been here for 6 months!

	I would ask for your continued prayers on behalf of my mom - they know now that something's going on with her heart, but not much beyond that yet. She's got three appointments scheduled for next week - another CAT scan, an EKG and then an appointment with a cardiologist. Thanks.

So my Mom went in for an appointment at her regular doctor's office on Tuesday to do a follow up after surgery (check her incision, do blood tests, etc). Well, yesterday they called and said they wanted her to come back in and do some additional lab work ASAP as her white blood cell count was WAY up. Since she still can't drive and my Dad was in meetings almost all day, I brought her. She had to give four HUGE vials of blood and a urine sample, which they won't have the results from for a couple of days. Then, they called today and she had to go this afternoon to get x-rays and a CAT scan done. She said her doctor's office here has been in touch with the doctor who did the surgery at Mayo. So...please pray for guidance and direction as the doctors and nurses interact with her (she was cracking up with the one nurse yesterday while getting her blood drawn ) and interpret the results of the various tests. And pray that she continues to gain back strength - I know it's frustrating to her that she's not feeling better yet. We just have to keep reminding her that she had major surgery only a couple of weeks ago!

Today is the first day I've felt Little P have hiccups. It's funny! And it's cute - Jamie is amazed every time he watches my belly dance around.
