My family finally celebrated all of the February birthdays we have today; however, ironically the one who's birthday is today (Dena), wasn't even able to celebrate with us! Oh well. We went to Cheesecake Factory, and let's just say that I'm still full, four hours later! I won't need to eat dinner tonight, that's for sure.

So, I joined this contest in January called "Drop it like it's hot" where the gym at work is offering $400 in gift cards to eq-life (a spa/salon/wellness store) to the person that loses the most weight/inches in 12 weeks. The halfway mark is this week, so I re-weigh in on Wednesday. After today, I'm going to have to kick butt in the next couple of days to make sure I didn't wreck all of my progress! Jamie and I are going to the gym in about another hour, so hopefully I'll be very energetic by the time I get on the elliptical machine... Although for the most part, I'm pretty pleased with my progress. My goal was to lose 5 lbs per month between January and the end of June, and I'm already at about 14 pounds. I've found that the classes I so dreaded going to at the gym have become my favorite, but I still don't mind the elliptical. It's very mindless. What I'm really looking forward to is when the weather gets a little nicer and we can more consistently take Tucker for a walk every day.

I love weekends! Mine has been pretty relaxing so far.

Today I went with my friend Sarah to the Twin Cities Pet Expo. I was expecting that there would be a lot of people that are a little too into their animals; but there really was only a couple like that. For example, the ones that were doing the "Dancing with the Dogs". Tucker was excited when I got home (well, after he finished sniffing me since I was petting all the dogs that were there as part of the show!) since I got a TON of free treats and toys, and then was a sucker and bought him some extra treats. I'm sure Jamie probably thinks that I'm one of the aforementioned people...a little too into my dog...

I started painting yesterday - it is so nice to see color on the walls! I've done the foyer and the laundry room so far. Tomorrow after church I will work on the long hallway that goes into the living room; I'll do the accent walls in the living and dining rooms if I have any time left then, otherwise on Monday. I won't be able to finish everything in the living/dining rooms since we didn't buy enough paint! I thought 3 gallons would have been enough, but not so much. Yet another trip to Home Depot is in my near future. Love that place!

So, everyone at work is pregnant. Since it seems to be in the water, I'm drinking bottled water these days! Anyway, there was a shower today for one of my friends who is due in about 5 weeks. She got a lot of cute things. There are so many things for babies these days...does it seem weird that our parents probably didn't have half of that stuff when we were babies?

So today I left Tucker out while I was at work for 7 hours, and he did great! (Although I guess it's more important what he DIDN'T do...) Before today he's only been out for about 5 hours or so.

I just got home from working out a little bit ago, and Jamie had made dinner by the time I was out of the shower. I love that! I'm really looking forward to the weekend already - we don't have a lot planned. It's so nice to have nothing to do for the weekend. Well, Lost is calling my name...
